A 47-year-old man reported a spill of sulfuric acid at the Simon Cooling Tower on Service Road between Harrison Avenue and Farm Lane Monday afternoon, MSU police Sgt. Jennifer Brown said.The spill occurred at the sulfuric acid release valve on a delivery truck, Brown said. Twenty-five gallons were spilled, but the acid was caught in a catch basin designed for such problems. The Office of Radiation, Chemical and Biological Safety and the East Lansing Fire Department assisted in the clean-up.
