Police briefs 04/17/03

Two male students reported stolen items from Jenison Fieldhouse, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The items, which included a gym bag, a backpack and a Capital Area Transportation Authority pass, were stolen Tuesday. Some of the items were in an unlocked locker and some were left on a bench in the men's locker room.The value of the loss is $232 and police have no suspects.• A 24-year-old female student reported a stolen Sears, Roebuck and Co. gift card and a stolen purse from West McDonel Hall, McGlothian-Taylor said.The items were stolen Tuesday from an unlocked room while the victim was visiting a friend. They were taken from a backpack that was later recovered.The value of the loss is $25 and police have no suspects.• A 50-year-old male university employee reported a damaged door at the Administration Building, McGlothian-Taylor said.Glass to the door of the entrance of the building was shattered between Monday and Tuesday. Access to the building was denied, despite the damaged door. The estimated loss is $250 and police have no suspects.
