Police arrested a man for stealing wallets and personal property from two men on Saturday in IM Sports-Circle, MSU police Sgt. Jennifer Brown said.Officers responded to the complaint and when they arrived at the building, the suspect ran into one of the officers. When officers searched the man, they didn't find any of the wallets. But when they searched a garbage can witnesses said he was standing by, they found one of the wallets.The case has been forwarded to the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office. Later in the day in IM Sports-West, a 55-year-old male university employee reported someone stole his duffel bag, containing his wallet and personal items, Brown said.While swimming, the man watched a suspect steal the bag and chased the man through the facility. Then the man and an employee in the facility asked the man about the bag and he said a friend had it. The three people went downstairs and the suspect gave the man his bag back and ran. The wallet was not recovered and the case remains open.The value of the loss is $100.
