A vehicle, which matches the description of a car used recently by people passing bad checks at MSU Federal Credit Union, was pulled over by MSU police officers Thursday, MSU police Sgt. Matt Merony said.A 24-year-old female nonstudent, sitting in the passenger seat of the Ford Tempo, was arrested during the stop for carrying a concealed weapon underneath her seat. Two nonstudents had personal property stolen Saturday at IM Sports-West while using the facilities, Merony said.The items stolen include a wallet valued at $50 and $57 in cash. Police believe the same person responsible for the rash of thefts occurring at IM Sports buildings is responsible for this case. Pants valued at $30, a cell phone valued at $250 and $90 in cash were stolen at IM Sports-West Friday, a 19-year-old male student reported, Merony said. Police have no suspects. Five windows were smashed Saturday in the Abbot and Mason hall exit doors, Merony said.The damage is valued at $75, and police have no suspects. A 20-year-old male student reported someone broke into his 1998 Ford Taurus and stole his stereo, valued at $250, between Jan. 16 and Friday in the parking lot near Fee Hall, Merony said.The car doors were locked and there are scratches on the driver's side door. Police have no suspects.
