A woman with children of driving age was found dead from an apparent homicide Thursday afternoon in her home on the 200 block of West Gier Street, Lansing police Lt. Bruce Ferguson said.The woman was found by her family, who she lived with, and Ferguson said police are unaware of the cause of death.People with information are encouraged to call the Lansing Police Department at (517)483-4600.• A 25-year-old female student with outstanding parking tickets was arrested Wednesday in a parking lot near Bessey Hall for backing into a police enforcement vehicle and then hitting the enforcer with the car, Brown said.She was released but police are seeking a warrant from the prosecutor's office.The 24-year-old male enforcer wasn't injured and damage is estimated to be about $1,200.
