A 19-year-old female student working Tuesday night at Plant and Soil Sciences Building was allegedly assaulted by another student, MSU police Sgt. Jennifer Brown said.Brandon Cooper, a 22-year-old male student, was arrested and arraigned late Tuesday for domestic assault and released on a $1,000 bond from Ingham County jail Wednesday.Cooper was unavailable for comment Wednesday. The unidentified victim refused medical treatment, but had bruising, Brown said. The man accused of breaking into the Capitol and threatening a security officer with a knife has been charged with breaking and entering, Lansing police Lt. Bruce Ferguson said.Police say Richard Manuell, who was arraigned Tuesday, broke into the Capitol and fled the scene as police responded. He was arrested a few blocks away by a Lansing K-9 unit. A 37-year-old male MSU alumnus reported $83 was stolen Tuesday from a locked locker at IM Sports-West, Brown said.Although the locker was locked, the combination to the lock was on a sticker placed on the back of the lock, which also was stolen.Police officers think the same person is responsible for thefts at the IM buildings this year. An 18-year-old female student found in violation of MSU's weapons ordinance received a citation Tuesday in Holmes Hall, Brown said.Staff reported she had a sword in her room. A 22-year-old male student was cited for having a stolen faculty-student parking permit Tuesday, Brown said.
