A 22-year-old female student was walking Sunday morning near the wooded area north of Abbot Hall when a man jumped out the wooded area and attempted to remove her pants, MSU police Sgt. Jennifer Brown said.A witness called 911 and the man fled the area. A K-9 unit unsuccessfully searched the area. The woman wasn't injured and it's believed the man left because he saw the witness, Brown said. A 21-year-old male student reported a man carrying a plastic bag Thursday walked into the Union Ballroom and exposed himself, Brown said.The man then pulled out a sex toy from the bag and motioned in a sexual fashion. The student told the man he couldn't do that in the room and called his supervisor, Brown said. The suspect then left the room. An MSU police officer pulled over a suspect for speeding Friday at Farm Lane and Auditorium Road and found the car was reported stolen 45 minutes earlier in Detroit, Brown said.The subject had multiple warrants out for his arrest, including possession of marijuana and driving on a suspended license. The officer also confiscated a knife, Brown said. A wallet and its contents were stolen Friday from IM Sports-West, a 22-year-old female student reported, Brown said.The student left her gym bag on the pool deck and when she realized she left it there, the wallet was missing. The value of the loss is $96, Brown said. There are no suspects.
