About 10 computer-related items were stolen between Friday and Saturday from the MSU Surplus Store, MSU police Sgt. Brian McDaniel said. The items were stolen when an unknown person or persons pried open the doors at the store, 1344 S. Harrison Ave. The loss is valued at $1,700 and the suspects caused $100 in damage. There are no suspects and the investigation is ongoing, McDaniel said. The tires of four university-owned vehicles were slashed between Saturday and Sunday in the Physical Plant parking lot, McDaniel said. The damage is estimated at $600 and there are no suspects. The investigation is under way, McDaniel said. A male student reported an unknown person reached under a bathroom stall Saturday in the Union bathroom and stole his bag, McDaniel said.The student was in the stall when the person grabbed his bag, which contained books and supplies. The loss is valued at $325 and there are no suspects, McDaniel said. A male nonstudent reported his cell phone stolen Thursday night while attending an event at Breslin Center, McDaniel said.The man doesn't know how the phone was taken because it was clipped to his belt. The phone is valued at $200 and there are no suspects, McDaniel said. A 19-year-old male student was arrested Saturday at Emmons Hall for allegedly damaging fire equipment, McDaniel said. The damage is estimated at $100 and several items on the floor valued at $50 were also damaged by the alleged suspect, McDaniel said.
