A 21-year-old male student heard a sound Tuesday morning resembling water hitting his East Shaw Hall room door. When he approached the door he saw a puddle of liquid under the door and when he opened it he found it was urine, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The student didn't see the person because he or she covered the door's peep hole with a sticker. There are no suspects and the case is under investigation, McGlothian-Taylor said.• A $4,000 microphone owned by ESPN was stolen Tuesday night from a table under the southwest lower bleachers of Breslin Center, a 32-year-old nonuniversity-affiliated male reported, McGlothian-Taylor said.The man placed the wireless microphone on a table while setting up equipment near the court. When he returned, it was gone. There are no suspects McGlothian-Taylor said.• A bulletin board in Bryan Hall was damaged when an unknown person set it afire, a 23-year-old male student reported Jan. 23, McGlothian-Taylor said.When the student found the board, the fire was already out. The damage is $50 and there are no suspects, McGlothian-Taylor said.• Two washing machines were damaged between Jan. 23 and Tuesday at a Cherry Lane Apartments laundry room a 51-year-old female employee reported, McGlothian-Taylor said.Both machines' water intake hoses and drain pipes had been cut, the change compartments had been pried open and $150 in change in each machine had been removed, McGlothian-Taylor said. Damage to each machine is $100.There are no suspects. This is the third time this month that a similar crimes has been reported in the complex.• A cell phone valued at $150 was stolen Sunday at a parking meter parking spot near North Hubbard Hall, a 19-year-old nonuniversity-affiliated male reported, McGlothian-Taylor said.The man said the phone was inside his locked car sitting on the passenger side front seat. No damage to the car was observed, McGlothian-Taylor said. It's unknown how the person entered the car.
