Three male students were ticketed for use of marijuana Wednesday night at Bailey Hall, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The police were called when the drug was smelled in the building and the students were released at the scene and issued misdemeanor court appearance tickets, McGlothian-Taylor said. An 18-year-old female student reported her purse, valued at $19, was stolen sometime Monday during one of her classes, McGlothian-Taylor said.The purse also contained personal items and $33 in cash. The student told police she doesn't usually bring her purse to class and left without it. She can't remember which room she may have left it in but was unable to find it when she went looking for it. A 39-year-old male student told police he might be a target of identity theft, McGlothian-Taylor said.Someone requested personal and financial information from the student over the Internet Jan. 6 at a Bessey Hall computer lab. The student didn't release any information.
