A 20-year-old male student was arraigned Wednesday in 54-B District Court for delivery of marijuana, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The student was arrested Friday for selling one ounce of the drug. After MSU police detectives obtained a search warrant, they seized an additional five ounces and packaging materials in his Emmons Hall room, McGlothian-Taylor said.He faces one charge of delivery of marijuana, which carries a penalty of four years in prison and a $20,000 fine and an additional charge of possession with the intent to deliver/manufacture marijuana, which carries the same punishment. In a separate incident, a male student was issued a ticket for marijuana use Tuesday night at North Wonders Hall, McGlothian-Taylor said.Officers were called when the drug was smelled in the building and gave a misdemeanor court appearance ticket to the student, McGlothian-Taylor said.
