A 19-year-old female student reported her purse, valued at $13, was stolen Saturday afternoon from the Snyder-Phillips Hall cafeteria, MSU police Sgt. Alan Haller said. When the student returned to the cafeteria after realizing she left the purse, it was gone.• Someone searched a backpack in an unlocked locker Friday afternoon and took $25, a 19-year-old female student reported, Haller said. The student said she left the backpack in a closed locker at the Main Library and noticed it had been searched when she retrieved it.• A biology textbook valued at $126 was stolen Thursday night from a study lounge on the third floor of North Wonders Hall, Haller said. A 19-year-old female student reported she left the book unattended and when she returned it was gone.• An obscene word was keyed into the hood of a 1999 gray Ford Escort between Thursday night and Friday morning in Lot 83, Haller said.A 20-year-old female student reported the vehicle was parked in the northeast corner of the parking lot. Damage is reported at $400.
