Church hosts peace lecture

The Unitarian Universalist Church, 855 Grove St., will host Myron Eshowsky for a free public lecture at 6 p.m. today.

Eshowsky is the executive director of Pathways Foundation for Peace and Healing and will be speaking on bringing spirit, peace and healing to the world. His lecture comes in the wake of an impending war with Iraq and terrorism around the world.

The lecture will explore how spirituality can help solve the problems of the world.

Eshowsky's spiritual and political activism includes migrant labor advocacy, prisoner rights and mental patient advocacy. He has also served as a faculty member of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies.
