An 18-year-old female student reported she was sexually assaulted by a male student, MSU police Sgt. Alan Haller said.The alleged fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, which includes improper touching, occurred between 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday in Cherry Lane Apartments, Haller said.Police would not release other information about the incident. An investigation is ongoing. A 48-year-old male student reported an Engleman Spruce cut down on the Tree Research Center grounds, Haller said.The tree was cut and left on the grounds between 4 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Haller said. It's against university ordinance to cut down any plant or tree on campus.The tree is valued at $300. A 61-year-old female MSU employee reported her $650 prescription Yves Saint Laurent glasses stolen from her Old Horticulture Building office, Haller said.At 1 p.m. Thursday, she left her glasses sitting on her desk in an unlocked office, Haller said. When she returned at 6:30 a.m. Friday, the glasses were missing.
