A 25-year-old female student reported her purse and its contents stolen from her 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.The car was parked in the north side of the second-level Shaw Lane parking ramp Monday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.At 5 p.m. Monday the student went to class, and soon noticed her keys were missing including her keyless remote, McGlothian-Taylor said.The student went home to get extra keys, and when she returned to her car at 9:30 p.m. her purse were missing from the front passenger seat, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student thinks she dropped her keys when she first left her car, McGlothian-Taylor said. The car was locked, McGlothian-Taylor said. The purse and its contents are valued at $147.77. A 22-year-old male student reported several items stolen from his backpack while he was in the Student Services basement computer lab Monday, McGlothian-Taylor said. At noon Monday the student left his backpack opened and unattended while he printed an assignment, McGlothian-Taylor said. At 3:30 p.m. he noticed his Verizon cell phone, Panasonic CD player and Texas Instruments calculator were missing, McGlothian-Taylor said. The items are valued at $300. A 32-year-old male MSU employee reported a Sharp video projector stolen from the second floor of Wells Hall on Monday, McGlothian-Taylor said. Between 5 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Monday, the projector was taken from a classroom, McGlothian-Taylor said.A cable wire locking the projector was found frayed, McGlothian-Taylor said.The projector is valued at $6,000.Alison Barker
