Police briefs 10/22/02

A 37-year-old MSU employee reported an unknown person kicked or forced a student’s Mayo Hall room door open on Sunday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The residents closed and locked the door when they left their room at 5 p.m. Friday, McGlothian-Taylor said.When they returned at midnight Saturday, the door was open and the door jam and strike plate were broken, McGlothian-Taylor said.Nothing appeared to be missing, McGlothian-Taylor said.Damage totals $200. • A 20-year-old female student reported five fluorescent ceiling lights broken in a second-floor hallway of Hubbard Hall on Sunday, McGlothian-Taylor said.A 19-year-old male student was questioned about the damage, McGlothian-Taylor said. Damage totals $750.
