A 20-year-old male student reported a damaged window in the East Akers Hall entryway Thursday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.A 19-year-old male student was arrested after he broke the window between 1 a.m. and 1:10 a.m. Thursday, McGlothian-Taylor said.The man broke the window because someone was picking on someone he knew, McGlothian-Taylor said.By breaking the window with his hand, he intended to intimidate the individual, McGlothian-Taylor said.The 19-year-old admitted himself to the hospital for large cuts on his hand, McGlothian-Taylor said.The window is valued at $400. A 31-year old Milan woman reported her purse stolen from her 1999 Jeep Cherokee parked on West Circle Drive on Wednesday, McGlothian-Taylor said.The purse and its contents were taken from the cars front passenger seat between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. while the woman was visiting a friend in Landon Hall, McGlothian-Taylor said. The car was left unlocked and the two rear windows were left 2 1/2 inches down because two cats were in the car, McGlothian-Taylor said.The total loss is $42. A 22-year-old male student reported his Verizon cell phone stolen from his backpack while he was at the Main Library on Wednesday, Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The cell phone was taken between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 4 on the east side first floor of the library, McGlothian-Taylor said.The student was at a computer table and left his backpack unattended several times, McGlothian-Taylor said.The cell phone is valued at $150.Alison Barker
