An 18-year-old female student reported an unknown man masturbating in the bushes who jumped out at her while she was jogging on Wednesday night, MSU police Sgt. Matt Merony said.Between 8:45 p.m. and 10:45 p.m., the woman was jogging on the sidewalk north of Rather Hall, Merony said.The man was hiding in the bushes dressed in full camouflage except for his genitalia, which he exposed to the woman, Merony said. A 25-year-old female student and a 37-year-old East Lansing man reported La-Z-Boy furniture and an RCA stereo stolen from their Spartan Village apartment Wednesday, Merony said.At 9 a.m. the residents left the apartment locked, Merony said.They returned at 11 p.m. to discover a love seat, couch and stereo were gone, Merony said.There were no signs of forced entry, Merony said.The items are valued at about $3,099. A 19-year-old female student reported her $130 purse and keys stolen from the womens restroom in the Old Horticulture Building on Wednesday, Merony said.At 12:30 p.m. the woman went to the bathroom and left her belongings unattended, Merony said.When she returned at 3 p.m., the items were gone, Merony said. A 18-year-old male student reported his wallet stolen from Armstrong Hall on Wednesday, Merony said.The students wallet was taken from his friends dorm room between midnight and 12:30 a.m., Merony said.The two students left the room unlocked for 30 minutes, and when they returned the wallet was missing from a desk, Merony said.
