A 49-year-old female Blimpie employee in the MSU Union reported an unknown person took $500 from the restaurants counter on Tuesday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. At 11:51 p.m. Monday, the employee was in the process of closing Blimpie by counting money from the cash register when a unknown man came in and bought a sandwich, McGlothian-Taylor said. The employee forgot the money was sitting on the counter when she went to make the sandwich, McGlothian-Taylor said. After the man paid for the sandwich and left, the employee noticed the money missing, McGlothian-Taylor said.
