A male student, 22, reported an unknown person stole $40 from him while he was delivering a pizza near the 900 block of Cherry Lane Apartments on Sunday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.From 9-9:05 p.m. the student entered the unknown persons apartment and sat down after he was asked to, McGlothian-Taylor said.The student pulled out a roll of money to give the unknown person change after $14 was paid for the pizza, McGlothian-Taylor said.The unknown person grabbed the roll of money, and gave it all back except for two $20 bills, McGlothian-Taylor said.MSU police officers returned to the apartments to follow up the incident, but received no answer about who stole the money, McGlothian-Taylor said.Police are investigating. A male student, 18, reported his Gateway laptop computer stolen from West Akers Hall on Sunday, McGlothian-Taylor said.The computer was left in the students dorm room while he went out of town for the day between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m., McGlothian-Taylor said.The students roommate left the room unlocked for an unknown period of time, McGlothian-Taylor said. The computer is valued at $1,325. A male student, 20, reported several items stolen from his Phillips Hall dorm room Sunday, McGlothian-Taylor said. Between 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:50 a.m. Sunday an unknown person broke into the students room through a window that was left open, McGlothian-Taylor said. A Nintendo GameCube, four unknown Nintendo games, 40 DVDs, a cell phone, backpack and Nintendo game controllers were taken, McGlothian-Taylor said. Window damage is valued at about $50. The total value of the stolen items is $1,580.Alison Barker
