A Lansing man, 31, reported his raincoat stolen from the Union computer room on Wednesday, Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.Between 12:30 and 12:45 a.m. on Monday, the coat was taken from the back of the computer chair the man was sitting in.The man didn’t notice his coat was missing until he saw someone else wearing it.The coat is valued at $75. • A female student, 31, reported her Kyocera cell phone, Sony mini recorder, pencil case and other materials stolen from the Main Library on Wednesday, McGlothian-Taylor said.At 5 p.m. the student moved away from her chair on the first floor of the library to help someone nearby.The student left her backpack unattended for about two minutes and later discovered the items missing when she went to get her cell phone.The items are valued at $305.• A male student, 22, reported his black Motorola cell phone stolen from the Main Library on Wednesday, McGlothian-Taylor said. Between 3 and 3:05 p.m. Wednesday, the student left his backpack unattended on a table while he was at the Copy Center on the second floor of the library.The cell phone is valued at $250.• A male employee, 52, reported $300 in coins and bills stolen from a storage room in the Communication Arts and Sciences Building on Wednesday, McGlothian-Taylor said. Between 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday and 7 a.m. on Wednesday an unknown person entered the room and took the money from the Sparty Cart cash boxes.Allison Barker
