Police briefs 09/09/02

• A female student, 20, reported her 2002 silver Volkswagen Jetta damaged in Lot 4, by Human Ecology and Morrill Hall, Friday, MSU police Sgt. Randy Holton said. Between 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Aug. 29, an unknown person kicked the right rear passenger door of the vehicle and a shoe print was left, Holton said.Damage is valued at about $700.• A female student, 18, reported an ID holder, ID, a credit card and keys stolen from a Wells Hall bathroom Friday, Holton said.Between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Thursday, the student left the items in the bathroom unattended and later returned to find the items were gone, Holton said. The items are valued at about $7.• A female student, 21, reported her cell phone stolen from the tennis courts on Wilson Road Saturday, Holton said.Between 1 p.m. and 1:05 p.m., the student left her phone at an area where she was tailgating while she went to the bathroom, Holton said.The cell phone is valued at $400.• A male MSU employee, 47, reported malicious destruction of property outside Bessey Hall Sunday, Holton said.Between 6 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday two soft drink vending machines were found smashed, Holton said.Damage is valued at $1,500.
