While the area theater scene lies quiet this weekend, promising actors and actresses can use the extra day off to perfect their monologues and mug for their mirrors.
Auditions for the MSU Theatre Departments fall production of A Midsummer Nights Dream will be held Wednesday with callbacks on Thursday.
The play is one of two shows that will be judged for the American College Theatre Festival.
A sign-up sheet is outside the department office with various times to audition.
Participants are asked to bring a prepared monologue and may be asked to do readings from the script at callbacks.
Students do not have to be theater majors or have any previous stage experience to audition.
