A man was killed in a hit-and-run accident Wednesday, Meridian Township police said. He was found lying at the edge of the road on Grand River Avenue, east of Cornell Road, by officers around 6:45 a.m. His name is being withheld pending notification of his family.Police believe the vehicle involved has damage to its passenger-side mirror. Anyone with information is asked to call (517)347-5060.• A woman reported her purse stolen from Breslin Center on Tuesday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The woman left her purse unattended on a hanger while she worked at a concession stand for the day. The purse’s contents were valued at $70. Police have no suspects.
