Senior golfers Eric Jorgensen and John Koskinen placed in the top 10 at the Detroit Newspapers Michigan Open.
The tournament was held June 24-27 at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spas Bear Course in Traverse City.
Jorgensen was tied for second place going into the final round, with a three-day total of 210 (69-72-69), but shot a 77 on the final day of the tourney.
The third-team All-American ended the contest in a tie for sixth place with a 1-under-par 287.
Koskinen wound up tied for ninth place with a four-day total of 288 (76-69-71-72).
Two recent Spartan graduates, Nathan Clark and Dennis Riedel, tied for 11th place at the tournament.
Clark, who graduated in 2002, had a four-day total of 1-over-par 289 (68-68-80-73).
Riedel, a 2001 graduate and coach Mark Hankins volunteer assistant last season, also finished with 289 (74-75-68-72).
Junior Casey Lubahn shot a 2-under-par 70 on Thursday, the best score of any Spartan golfer on the final day. He finished in a tie for 16th place with 290 (75-73-72-70).
Brent Goik, a 2000 MSU graduate, finished in a 47th-place tie with a score of 299 (74-70-74-81).
