Police briefs 07/31/02

A male student reported a man peering into his bedroom window at his Spartan Village apartment on Monday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The man fled after the student walked outside his apartment. Police have no suspects.• A female student reported damage to her 2002 Honda Accord on Monday, McGlothian-Taylor said. A man on a bike knocked on her window and motioned for her to roll it down when she was stopped at a red light at Farm Lane and Auditorium Road. When she complied, he stuck his head in the vehicle and shouted an obscenity at her and she rolled the window back up. The man then kicked the car, causing $200 in damage, and rode away southbound on Farm Lane. Police have no suspects.• A male employee reported a stolen laptop computer and pocket computer from his office in the Plant and Soil Sciences Building on Monday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The man left his office locked during the weekend and when he returned the computers, valued at $2,323, were gone. There were no signs of forced entry and police have no suspects.
