Police briefs 07/24/02

A male student reported stereo equipment stolen from his car Monday, Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The driver’s side window of his 1994 Mercury Cougar, parked near Olin Health Center, was pried open and his stereo, amplifier and radar detector were missing when he returned.Losses and damage to the car are estimated at $526. Police have no suspects.• A female student reported windows broken at her Spartan Village apartment Sunday, McGlothian-Taylor said.Her brother, visiting from out of state, had reportedly gotten into a fight with his girlfriend and was angered, McGlothian-Taylor said. He broke two windows and a screen door and was arrested, she said.Damages are estimated at $300.
