Police briefs 07/10/02

A female employee reported her 1996 Volvo damaged on Monday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. Her car was parked at Lot 4, which is near the Human Ecology Building when her trunk was scratched by an unknown object. Damage was estimated at $250 and police have no suspects.• A male employee reported video tapes stolen Monday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The man locked his office when he left Friday and when he returned Monday it was still locked but there was no sign of forced entry, but the tapes, valued at $200, were missing. A ceramic statue in the office was chipped, resulting in $50 worth of damage. Police have no suspects.• A female student reported receiving nuisance phone calls Monday at Cherry Lane Apartments, McGlothian-Taylor said. She received six phone calls in the past few weeks. Although no one spoke, she could hear noise in the background. Police have no suspects.
