Police briefs 06/12/02

A female employee reported her cell phone stolen between 12-12:30 p.m. Saturday from a first floor restroom at the Engineering Building, MSU police Lt. Kelly Beck said. The employee left the phone, valued at $100, on top of a paper towel holder and it was gone when she returned half an hour later. Police have no suspects.• Three male students were caught rolling three office chairs out of the Biomedical and Physical Science Building at 11:20 p.m. Sunday, Beck said. All three were arrested for stealing the chairs, which were valued at $300 each.• A man and woman reported CDs and a metal lockbox stolen from their vehicle between 7 p.m. Saturday and 12:55 a.m. Sunday in Lot 7, located behind Agriculture Hall, Beck said. The woman’s purse was also taken, but several of its contents were left behind, including her diabetic supplies.Although the vehicle was reported to have been broken into, the students could not recall if its doors were locked. When they returned to the vehicle the door was ajar. There are no suspects.
