Police briefs 06/05/02

A male student reported a bedroom window broken in his Spartan Village apartment on Monday, Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. An unknown object created a foot-wide hole with damage estimated at $30. An officer examined the area and it didn’t appear as if anyone tried to break in. Police have no suspects.• A man was arrested Monday after urinating on the third floor of the Main Library, Taylor said. He was spotted in the act by a male employee, who contacted police. The man was intoxicated and charged with drunk and disorderly conduct.• A man stole several cans of Red Bull from Quality Dairy, 1109 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing Police Sgt. Jeff Murphy said.The man left the store and an employee notified police, who then tried to find him. After an unsuccessful search during the night, daytime police believe they have made an identification and will be seeking an arrest warrant.
