Police briefs 05/29/02

A male student reported damage to a Wells Hall window on Monday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The student was waiting for a friend when he noticed a small hole in a window.Damage was estimated at $1 and there were no fragments found around the area. Police have no suspects.• A male student reported a cell phone, valued at $175, stolen from his room in the Kellogg Center on Sunday, Taylor said. The student left his room open while he stepped out to visit the hotel bar and noticed the phone was missing when he returned. Police are investigating a suspect.• A male employee reported graffiti on an outside wall of West Holmes Hall on Friday, Taylor said. The employee had noticed the graffiti earlier in the month and had thought it could be easily cleaned but found it was necessary to repaint the area. Damage was estimated at $500. Police have no suspects.
