East Lansing Police arrested five men Wednesday who will be charged with malicious destruction of property. The 18- and 19-year-olds were located after police received a report they were spray painting graffiti in the Grand River alley.The men are believed to be responsible for spray painting at least 20 different locations in downtown East Lansing on Wednesday and could be involved in other graffiti incidents during the past six weeks, police said. • A female student reported a stolen cell phone Tuesday, Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The student said she waved to a friend as she was walking through the Main Library and the phone, valued at $60, fell out of her backpack. The woman noticed it was missing the next day when she wanted to make a call and it was not in her backpack. Police have no suspects.• A female student reported the wheels stolen off her bicycle while it was parked at a bike rack near Van Hoosen Hall on Tuesday, Taylor said. The bicycle had been there for three days and the wheels, valued at $200, were quick release. Police have no suspects.
