Friday

• Breslin Center presents “Wayne Brady and Friends” 8 p.m. at Breslin Center. Specially priced tickets are available for students. For more information, call Breslin Center Box Office, (517)432-5000.

Saturday

• Mac’s Bar will host a CD release party for Calliope at 9 p.m. Carmen Electra Paradise will open. There is a $8 cover, which includes a free copy of Calliope’s new release. Mac’s is located at 2700E. Michigan Ave. in Lansing. For more information, call (517)484-6795.

• The Union Activities Board will host “Sparty’s Spring Party” from noon to 9 p.m. at the Demonstration Hall parking lot and IM Sports-West Parking Lot. A carnival featuring a Ferris wheel, rock walls, inflatable games, laser arena and carnival games with prizes will be held noon to 6 p.m. The bands Domestic Problems, Remedy, Dead Poets and 19 Wheels will play 5-9p.m. The three-on-three basketball tournament will go on all day. All events are free to with a valid MSU ID.

Friday and Saturday

• Jambalaya’s presents Dennis Therrian featuring Tim Carter at Jambalaya’s, 5942 East Round Lake Road in Laingsburg. The Jazz bad begins playing at 8 p.m. There is a $5 cover charge without dinner. For more information, call (517)651-9072.

Sunday

• Wharton Center presents Van Cliburn Gold Medalist 3 p.m. in Wharton’s Great Hall. This is the international Piano Competition conducted only every four years. Tickets are $22. For ticket information, call (517)432-2000 or 1-800-WHARTON.

• Under Construction will be playing 1 p.m. at the Anne Street Plaza. The Earth Day Celebration is free. For more information, go to www.underconstructionland.com.

• The MSU Museum will host An Earth Day Program, 1-3 p.m. at the museum. Visitors will be able to make earth friendly products and receive free hand massages from Douglas J Salon and Educational Center. Admission is free. For more information, visit www.museum.msu.edu.

• The MSU Department of Theatre presents the musical “Hair” at 7:30 p.m. today, 8 p.m. Friday and 8 p.m. Saturday in Wharton Center’s Pasant Theatre. • The Campus Center Cinemas:

• “Mother’s Day” begins its run at the BoarsHead Theater. Shows are 7p.m. today, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Valid ID is required for student price, and group discounts are available for 12 or more. BoarsHead Theater is located at 425 S. Grand Ave. in Lansing.
