Police briefs 04/25/02

A male employee reported damage to fiber optic cables in the Engineering Building, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. Six of the cables were cut, causing $1,000 in damage. The cables were in a locked technical equipment closet. Police have no suspects.• A female student reported a textbook stolen from the Main Library, McGlothian-Taylor said. The book, worth nearly $100, was left unattended at a study desk. When the student returned, the book was gone. Police have no suspects.• A female student reported her wallet stolen from the West Holden Hall lounge, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student left her wallet and its contents, worth nearly $25, at a computer terminal. When she returned, it was gone. Police have no suspects.Shannon Murphy
