A male student said he was assaulted on the south side of the Red Cedar River near Wells Hall on Thursday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. Two males approached him and one punched him in the left cheek, causing a bruise. The student ran away and was not chased by the assailants. The student did not seek medical attention. Police have no suspects. A female employee reported damage to four doors in South Kedzie Hall, McGlothian-Taylor said. Attempts to pry them open with an unknown object resulted in $25 worth of damage. Access only was gained into one room. Nothing was taken and police have no suspects.Tara May
