Police briefs 04/17/02

A male student reported damage to his vehicle Monday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The student’s 1994 Chevrolet Camaro was parked in a parking lot in the Brody Complex. The car had been keyed on both the passenger and driver side doors, causing $800 in damage. Police have no suspects.• A male employee reported two laptop computers stolen from the Clara Bell Smith Student-Athlete Academic Center, McGlothian-Taylor said. One of the computers was in a computer room; a cable lock securing it to a table had been broken. The other computer was in a locked office, and the cable lock securing that computer had been broken also. The computers are worth more than $2,000 each. Police have no suspects.• A female employee reported damage to drawers and cabinets in the lobby of the International Center, McGlothian-Taylor said. An unknown object was used to pry the cabinets and drawers open, causing $500 in damage. Police have no suspects.
