Pastor’s United will be holding a birthday observance Tuesday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the Union Missionary Baptist Church, 1020 W. Hillsdale St. in Lansing.

Church to hold MLK service tonight
The keynote speaker, E. Sharon Banks, is superintendent for Lansing Public Schools. Melvin T. Jones, host pastor for Union Missionary Baptist Church, also will be speaking and the program will feature music by a mass choir.
The observance starts at 7p.m.
