• American Association of Blacks in Energy: 1st Dollar Drive to Defeat “HEAT OR EAT?” 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Nov. 16, International Activities Center, Union. In the winter many elderly people have to make a decision to either pay utilities or buy food. The organization is holding a Dollar Drive to assist those on a fixed income with payment of their energy bills. Proceeds will go directly to the elderly through the PeopleCare Program. AABE is a new organization committed to bringing about awareness of energy issues and energy policies affecting minorities.
