Friday

Green and White Friday here at MSU show your Spartan pride. You can win prizes if a UAB representative spots you in your green and white.

Tonight the Campus Center will be sponsoring “Mission Improvable” Chicago’s version of “Whose Line Is It Anyway” at the International center. There will be one show at 10 p.m. and and another at midnight.

The Ten Pound Fiddle Coffeehouse presents Chris Proctor at 8:00 p.m. at the Unitarium Universalist Church, 855 Grove St. Admission is $10 for the public. Students and Ten Pound Fiddle members will receive a discount. For more information call (517)337-7744.

Saturday

Saturday the Campus center presents Latino Rhythms: Live Music & Dance Lessons held in the MSU Union Ballroom and Parlors from 9p.m. to 1a.m. This was co-sponsored with Culturas de las Razas Unidas. For more information call (517)432-7739.

Nov. 3 the Kresge Art Museum presents “The Power and Passion of Dance: Photographs from the Carol Halsted Collection” featuring works from Carol Halsted, professor of dance at Oakland University. More than 30 photographers works are featured including Margaret Bourke-White, Annie Liebowitz, Irving Penn, and Henri Cartier Bresson.

Other exhibits featured Saturday are “Art in Motion: Selection from the Permanent Collection” by John Scott and Works on Paper Gallery: “Tom Block, Archeology of a Painting-The Dance of the Hasidim.” The museum is open from noon to 5p.m. and admission is free for the public. Sunday

JUDE and Michelle Branch performing Nov. 4 at Rick’s American Cafe located at 224 Abbott Road the open at 8:00 p.m. The show is sponsored by Maverick Recording Co. and Kenneth Cole Productions. For more information call (517)351-2288.

Sunday the Kresge Art Museum is having an Opening reception from 2p.m. to 4p.m. performing Gallery Talk hosted by Carol Halsted. The museum is open from noon to 5p.m. Admission is free for the public. For more information call (517)353-9834.

All weekend

Harper’s Restaurant & Brewpub comedy club welcomes Killer Flamingos, Gordon Bennett and M-80. Killer Flamingos will perform Friday at 9:30 p.m., Saturday Gordon Bennett and M-80 both will perform at 9:30. Bennett show will held upstairs and M-80 downstairs. The Campus Center Cinemas will be showing “The Score,” “Cats & Dogs” and “Startup.com” all weekend in Wells Hall. The movies are free for students living in resident halls with an MSU ID and $2 for all other students and the general public.
