Friday

• Christian entertainer Chonda Pierce, will be at the Lansing Center, 333 E. Michigan Ave. The comedy show also includes worship and singing by Pierce. • Sweet Mary Love will be performing at The Landshark, 101 E. Grand River Ave., Friday night . The band is expected to begin at 10 p.m. Cover is $3 and the club is 21 and up.

• To celebrate the opening of the comedy club at Harper’s Restaurant & Brewpub, 131 Albert Ave., comedian Willie Barcena will be performing both Friday and Saturday nights. There will be two shows each night beginning at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. The club is 21 and up after 9 p.m. Tickets for the event are $9.

• Comedian Ken Evans will be at Connxtions Comedy Club, 2900 N. East St., in Lansing, Friday and Saturday night. There will be two shows each night. The shows will begin at 7:45 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tickets for the event are $10, a $2 discount will be given to students with college IDs. Connections is 18 and up all night. • “Hamlet” will be performed at Wharton Center Friday and Saturday night. Both shows will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10, $8 for seniors and students with ID. For tickets call the Wharton Center Box Office at (517)432-2000.

• DJ Monty Q makes his way to ClubParadise, 224 S. Washington Square in Lansing, and will be spinning tunes from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. The club also hosts its first White Party announcement gala. Cover is $10 for everyone, 18 and up. For more information, call (517)484-2399.

Saturday

• Rod Stewart will be performing at Breslin Center at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets for the event range from $49.75 to $59.75. For tickets call Breslin Center at (517)432-5000.

• Uptown DJs will be performing at The Landshark, 101 E. Grand River Ave., Saturday night. The band is expected to begin at 10p.m. Cover is $3 and the club is 21 and up.

• Club Paradise, 224 S. Washington Square in Lansing, hosts its second White Party announcement gala. There will giveaways, including a travel package. Sunday

• Nickelodeon’s top-rated animated TV series “Franklin’s Big Adventure,” will visit Wharton Center. Franklin is expected to deliver nonstop audience participation, excitement and fun for the whole family. There will be two shows beginning at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Tickets for the event range from $10 to $16.

• The MSU Women’s Basketball Team will compete with the Basketball Travelers’ Foreign Team at Breslin Center, Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for children and seniors and free for children 8 years and under. Monday

• The Tip-Off Café will be held at Breslin Center on Monday. Come eat dinner before the MSU men’s basketball game. During dinner get last minute insight into the game with basketball head coach Tom Izzo and other guests. Also participate in the Spartan Trivia contest to receive prizes. Tickets for the café are $20 per meal. You must have a game ticket for Monday’s men’s basketball game to attend the café. Call Breslin Center for tickets at (517)432-5000.
