The Black Comedy Tour featuring Shawn C & Cocoa Brown will be visiting MSU. There will be two shows starting at 10:15 p.m. and 12:15 a.m. in the Anthony Hall auditorium. The event is free but tickets are required. Tickets can be picked up at the University Activities Board office at 322 Union, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is a two ticket limit per student ID.
Come celebrate Silver Bells in the City. The Michigan Historical Center, 717 W. Allegan St. will have galleries, special musical performances, cookies and cider during the Silver Bells in the City presentation. For more information call (517)373-3559 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Kiss Me, Kate, the winner of five 2000 Tony Awards, will be performed at Wharton Center this weekend. The musical comedy is a classic battle of the sexes that follows the antics of a divorced acting couple who are reunited for a musical version of Shakespeare The Taming of the Shrew. Friday and Saturday there will performances beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $50, $45, $41 and $33. There will also be shows Saturday and Sunday beginning at 2 p.m.. Tickets are $47.50, $42.50 $38.50 and $30.50. Sunday also has a later show starting at 7 p.m. For tickets call Wharton Center at (517)432-2000.
SATURDAY
Renos East Side Sports Bar, 1310 Abbott Road, will have an Arm Wrestling Tournament. The Tournament begins at 9 p.m., sign up for the tournament is at 8:30 p.m. There may be a $5 cover to enter the tournament. There is no cover enter Renos. Only 21 and up admitted after 9 p.m.
Reggae Night will be held at the International Center from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.. There will be live music by Family Magic plus crafts and more. The event is free with a valid MSU ID.
SUNDAY
The Global Festival will happen from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the MSU Union. The event includes exhibits, performances, a game area and international food (Global Cafe will be open from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.). The event is free with a valid MSU ID.
