  • Phoenix Rising Drum Circle: Come Drum And Dance With Us, 8 p.m. Friday, Purdue Room in the Union. Come make rhythms with drums and other percussion instruments in a group setting. No experience is required. Some rattles and drums will be available for use, but bring an instrument of your own if you have one. Segel and Cook will be graduating with their degrees in studio art graphic design. The show consists of samplings from a variety of different mediums.

  • MSU’s Orthodox Christian Fellowship and the Orthodox Christian Women of mid-Michigan: Presentation by Archbishop Nathaniel, 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Northwestern Room, Union. Archbishop Nathaniel is the archbishop of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America and will speak on the topic of orthodox unity. Everyone is welcome to hear his speech and ask questions following his presentation.

  • Libraries, Computing, & Technology: Michigan Fiction Writers Series, 7:30 p.m. Friday, W449 Main Library. Please join us for a reading by ecologist Stephanie Mills. Mills has written and spoken on ecology and social change since her Mills College commencement speech in 1969, in which she announced that she would forego having children because of concerns about overpopulation and its effects on the environment. Her writings include: “Whatever Happened to Ecology,” an account of the evolution of her ecological consciousness and commitment, and “In Service of the Wild,” a book about restoring and reinhabiting damaged land.
