In response to all of the Knott attackers including The State News (“Cold reception,” SN 8/15), I have one thing to say, shame on all of you. None of you were present at the time of the alleged sexual assault. For you to judge this man without knowing all of the facts and attack MSU admissions, the football staff and the judicial system is malevolent.

MSU did not jeopardize its credibility, and the state properly sentenced this man. Knott deserves a second chance - a chance for an education, to utilize his talents and to be a Spartan.

I think it is terrible that letting him join the football team ignited more feedback than the man beaten and killed outside a bar on M.A.C. Avenue last year.

If you’re worried about your safety, it seams that this brutal killing would take precedence over this silly Knott case.

Knott earned the right to suit up as a Spartan. Good luck with your career here.
