Binoculars voice soothes

Binocular

Binocular

(Maverick)

Binocular produced, sang, wrote, performed and recorded his self-titled debut album by himself in his New York City apartment.

The solo performer played all of the musical instruments in this wonderful pop album. His blend of synthesizer, guitar and his sweet, soothing voice is a different, yet great mixture.

When Binocular (his Madonna-esque singular stage name) was in his preteen years, he was discovered by Guitar World magazine and he later experimented with underground bass, drums and house music. Though this album has a more “poppy” feel to it, it features morsels of those old experimental sounds.

Binocular sings of love and previous relationships, proving hard breakups are great materials for song lyrics. His sounds and lyrics are like a mix of Duncan Sheik and Depeche Mode with just a hint of the Goo Goo Dolls.

Binocular’s first single, “Deep,” has a sweet melody that sounds a lot like Sheik. With lyrics like “beneath the deep blue sea/you’re touching every breath,” it’ll make you swoon and fall in love with his voice.

Throughout the album, the tracks feature an array of different sounds - “You Were the One” has a poppy, electronic beat to it, while “Gone Away” is slower and soothing.

“Fire Burns Bright” and “Wait Until” feature many of Binocular’s experimental sounds and diverse musical talents.

Binocular’s lyrics are so hypnotic and deep they evoke fantasies, love and relationships. This album will give you an hour of relaxation and pleasure. Once you’ve apprehended this album, listen to it in bed or while taking a hot bath.
