DJ AJ will spin house and trance at Troppo, 213 Ann St. He takes the stage at 10 p.m. and there is a $3 cover for men. Only those 21 and over will be admitted after 10 p.m.
The Aca Fellas National Collegiate Competition will be held at the Wharton Center’s Pasant Theatre. The show begins at 8 p.m. and will feature groups from across the nation. The cost is $6 for students and $10 for everyone else.
Saturday:
The Harlem Globetrotters will be at Breslin Student Events Center at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the box office by calling (800) 968-2737.
Churchbus will play at The Dollar Nightclub, 3411 E. Michigan Ave. in Lansing. Doors open at 8 p.m., and the band will begin playing at 10 p.m. It is a 21-and-over show with a $3 cover.
Sunday:
“Queer as Folk” will play at Spiral Video and Dance, 1247 Center St. in Lansing. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show will begin at 10 p.m. Following the show, DJ Ron Solo will spin. There is a $5 cover.
The Riviera Cafe Restaurant & Lounge, 231 M.A.C. Ave., will have karaoke from 10 p.m. to 1:40 a.m. There will be no cover. Those 21 and over will be admitted.
