LOS ANGELES - Former News Radio actor Andy Dick has complied with drug rehabilitation terms under a program that could clear his record of cocaine and marijuana possession.
A judge reviewed a progress report Friday and said the actor appeared to be in compliance with court-ordered treatment.
He had been ordered to undergo a two-year drug diversion program after pleading guilty to charges of cocaine and marijuana possession and possession of a smoking device.
If he completes the program successfully, he could be cleared of charges.
I feel fine. I feel excellent, really, because Ive been sober, Dick said outside court.
The drug charges stemmed from a May 15, 1999, car crash in which Dicks vehicle knocked down a utility pole.
DMX likely to serve jail time
CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. - Rap star DMX will be obliged to keep a return engagement in western New York, after a judge rejected an appeal by the rapper to overturn his 15-day jail sentence on a traffic charge.
DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, is expected to surrender within the next two weeks to serve time in the Erie County Correctional Facility in Alden.
After a tour stop in Buffalo in March, police pulled over Simmons car and charged him with speeding, failing to signal a lane change, driving with a suspended permit and marijuana possession.
Simmons pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of driving without a license. He was ordered to serve a maximum 15-day jail term and fined $400.
SHeDaisy busy working on second album
LOS ANGELES - SHeDaisy is a natural moniker for Kristyn, Kassidy and Kelsi Osborn, who have been singing together since they were children.
Kristyn, 30, is the songwriter in the family, so what do Kassidy, 24, and Kelsi, 26, tell their sister when they dont like one of her tunes?
We encourage her to pitch them to other artists, Kelsi said. Being sisters, you can be honest and say, What were you thinking about when you wrote that?
The ladies of SHeDaisy are busy working on their second country album, which will follow Brand New Year, released at Christmas.
