Police briefs 11/15/00

A 44-year-old male staying at the Kellogg Center reported his camera bag and equipment missing between 7 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 a.m. Monday, MSU police Detective Tony Willis said.The man was attending a conference at the center’s Auditorium and forgot his bag when he left the final day. He did not notice the bag missing until he returned home, he said.The man contacted the Kellogg Center but was told nothing had been turned in. The bag, digital camera and other equipment was valued at $960. There are no suspects at this time.

  • An 18-year-old female student reported receiving six harassing phone calls between Nov. 3 and Monday, Willis said.Five of the calls were only background noise and the caller soon hung up, but on Sunday a male with a raspy whispering voice spoke to the girl before hanging up. She contacted the police shortly after, Willis said.Police have no suspects and the complaint was forwarded to Ameritech’s nuisance phone call services.SARA LUNEBURG
