50 Cent not made for the value menu

I’ve seen some ridiculous publicity stunts over the years but, by far, 50 Cent’s latest schemes take the cake. Ever since he lost that bet with Kanye West he’s tried publicity stunt after publicity stunt and it’s starting to get old.

First, he accused Rocsi, former host of “106 & Park,” of sleeping around with numerous people in the NBA and rap industry. Then, he released a recording of rapper Young Buck begging him to rejoin G-Unit. Now, he’s filed a lawsuit against Taco Bell for allegedly making him the star of their “79-89-99-Cent Why Pay More” campaign without his permission.

The lawsuit claims the fast food chain sent 50 Cent a letter encouraging him to change his name to “79 Cent,” “89 Cent” or “99 Cent” in an effort to keep them from paying the millions of dollars 50 Cent would have asked for them to use his name.

So, let me get this straight — He’s suing Taco Bell over a letter? How lame.

I can’t believe 50 Cent would stoop as low as suing a fast food restaurant to get some face time.

He’s only been on the hip-hop scene for about six years and — if you ask me — he’s already washed up. These publicity stunts are just a cry for some attention and since he really wants to be noticed maybe it’s time for him to ask VH1 his own reality show, seeing as that’s where former stars turn when no one cares about them anymore.

Or better yet, 50 Cent could do us all a favor by honoring his bet with Kanye West and simply retire.
