Alleged dog killer no longer enrolled at MSU

November 22, 2011

Alleged dog killer Andrew Thompson no longer is an MSU student, university spokesman Jason Cody said.

Thompson, a former osteopathic medicine graduate student, has not been enrolled in classes since June when he was arrested on charges of animal abuse/killing.

Upon being formally arraigned, Thompson was suspended from the College of Osteopathic Medicine because the charges he faced were felonies.

The Office of the Registrar confirmed Tuesday that Thompson no longer is enrolled as a student, Cody told The State News. Cody did not know when or why Thompson became disenrolled. Thompson faces 13 charges of animal killing/torture in Ingham County’s 30th Circuit Court. His trial is set to begin Dec. 5.
