MSU student reports moped stolen

A 19-year-old student reported his moped stolen at South Case Hall, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The student said his 2005 Yamaha Zuma Moped was stolen from the bike racks between Jan. 22 and Jan. 26. The moped was valued at $1,500.

There are no suspects and the incident still is under investigation, McGlothian-Taylor said.

I had a friend get her moped swiped and she still had the keys. Not sure what good it was going to do the thief though without the keys. Seems kind of lame to hotwire a moped.
